Archery on the course

Located on the edge of the Couserans region, the Parcours des Portes du Couserans offers everyone the chance to relax, have fun and/or train around a wide range of bow and arrow activities.

3D - Nature or Countryside

Beyond archery at a distance of 70 m on flat ground, the kind of competition everyone sees at the Olympic Games, there's another way to enjoy this sport. There's another way to enjoy this sport, and that's to walk from target to target, just as a golfer does from hole to hole. That's what our estate offers.

On a 5 km course, you move from site to site to test your shooting skills in a variety of positions. Upslope, downslope, sloping left or right, short (less than 5 m) or long distance (up to 60 m).

3 types of course:

- A course with 26 3D targets:
To reach the 4 Zones on the target and get 11 - 10 - 8 or 5 points you have 3 arrows.
Course duration varies between 2 and 3 hours.

- An 18-target Nature course:
We've chosen to teach you 11 of Monsieur Jean de la Fontaine's 242 fables, or to surprise you with 6 trolls from the depths of the forest. After shooting 2 arrows at 2 different distances on the 3 existing zones of the animal representation, you can obtain 30, 20 or 10 points.
The course lasts between 1h30 and 2h.
- An 8-target course called Campagne:

8 targets of 4 different sizes, requiring more precision in the way you release your bowstring. You'll find them in the Circle of Unknown Distances. They are made up of 6 zones worth 1 to 6 points. You have 3 arrows to obtain a maximum of 18 points per type of target.
The course lasts between 1h and 1h30.

It's possible to mix different types of course, as is the case with the TUC Monsters (18 3D and Nature targets). Duration 1h30 to 2h, or for Le Complet (51 targets and a duration of at least 5h).
