Le cirque de la Plagne

It's the ideal way to warm up, have a family picnic and relax
an be used from spring to winter. Avoid in winter or after heavy snowfall.

Departure from Le Bocard (former mine washing plant) 0 h 920 m
Continue along the track and cross the stream. The forest track winds its way through a narrow gorge until, after 30 minutes, it reaches the large flat area at the entrance to the cirque. Leave the track at the first hairpin bend and go straight ahead, then ford the stream and climb up to the right towards the Cabane de la Plagne.

If you continue on the winding forest track, it will take you 3 hours to reach the site of the old Bentaillou mines.

We advise you not to head for the waterfalls before the end of May (risk of avalanches).
