The Greenway

The Prat Bonrepaux – Saint-Girons – Foix greenway by bike, in the heart of the Ariège Pyrenees Regional Nature Park !      

By bike along the old railway, spanning a route of 42 km, without any significant climbs or descents, this is a place to peacefully journey along and enjoy a playground well suited to many gentle sports : walking, running, jogging, or … pedalling, of course. This beautiful ribbon is very welcoming, perfectly secured and well maintained. With your family or friends, and at your own pace by bike !     

For the eyes, it’s a pleasant ramble, punctuated by traces of its 19th-century railway heritage, such as the 14 arches of the Vernajoul viaduct to the east, or the tunnels between Rimont and Castelnau.

This year’s favourites are all journeys you can enjoy within a couple of pedal strokes of the greenway !

The Combelongue Abbey in Rimont, the Reptile Farm in La Bastide de Sérou, the Aristide Berges Museum in Lorp-Sentaraille, and of course the gourmet stops at Chez Victor in Castelnau-Durban, at the Grenier à Jambon in Rimont or at the Club House of the ecogolf course in La Bastide de Sérou.
