Gîte de Barthet

The Barthet gîte is a large family house situated on the south-facing slope with a panoramic view that is not overlooked.

In the heart of the Ariege Pyrenees Regional Nature Park, at an altitude of 800 m, this family home sleeps 8, with no facing building and exceptional views over the meadows and peaks of the Couserans.

The house was completely renovated and insulated in 2023.
Virtually self-sufficient in energy, it is equipped with photovoltaic panels and heated by the wood-burning cooker coupled with solar panels. Always connected to the EDF grid if necessary, there is no risk of a power cut.

The ground floor comprises a large living room with lounge, fitted kitchen and wood-burning cooker, bathroom with toilet and storage room.
The first floor is accessed by a wide staircase and comprises three large, bright bedrooms with three 140 cm-wide beds.
The second floor under the attic includes a bathroom with WC, and a large room with 1 double bed and a single sofa bed.

Garden to the south and shaded patio to the east, all fully fenced.

5 minutes from Massat (all amenities), 30 minutes from Saint-Girons, 1 hour from Foix, 1.5 hours from Toulouse. 1 hour from Guzet-neige for skiing, 30 minutes from Etang de Lers for snowshoeing.

The house is located in a hamlet of 3 houses and adjoins the house of a retired farmer.
In summer, the proximity of the neighbours means that noisy parties are out of the question.
